It represents one of the most important documents in the history of science between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. It also includes manuscripts by Galileo’s disciples (Castelli, Cavalieri, Torricelli, Viviani), their correspondence and those with the most important scientists from all over Europe, such as Mersenne, Gassendi, Stenone, Peiresc.
