It represents one of the most important collections in the history of science between the 17th and 18th centuries. It also includes manuscripts by Galileo’s disciples, (Castelli, Cavalieri, Torricelli, Viviani), their correspondence, and letters with the most prominent scientists across Europe, such as Mersenne, Gassendi, Stenone, Peiresc.
